Hello,
I thought I'd share what I've been working on for Lil Raggedy Angie's Holiday Open House December 3rd. I need some constructive feedback. I'm not sure if they need faces or not. I would like some honest opinions of what you think. They need something I'm just not sure what...
The folk art angels shown below are made entirely from stuff I had laying around. I used chair backs from old wooden chairs for the wings, I used two broken fence pickets for bodies, the upper back leg of the chair above for one, and one out of a couple of old boards. The halos are end ends of an old chair spring, a vintage silver plated spoon with an interesting design. I cut a heart out of a plywood scrap, and an end off a piece of decorative molding for another. Check them out and give me your honest feedback.
And as always, a swarm of dragonflies waiting to come to life...

I love them as is and Im gonna reshare on FB , sadly i have to read your blog from FB as blogger has gone crazy tonight and says IM not following any blogs I say BAH yeah right !
I'm having the same problem as Angie -I had to go thru FB! lol I like them like they are too. I think they look good!
These are adorable just as they are! They remind me so much of the ones my mother made out of clothespins for her Christmas tree almost 70 years ago. She drew faces on hers (but they were much smaller, being clothespins and all, lol.)
You are so very creative and talented! These are wonderful and if you hadn't told me what you made them out of, I don't think I could have guessed. Great use of lovely materials!
I vote faceless - I think they're rustically awesome just as they are (but you didn't show a photo with them completely finished with halos on and all, did you - or is my blogger messing with my mind again???) At first I thought perhaps a spot of Spanish moss for hair - but quickly changed my mind. I like the simplicity of them....And love your "swarm!" Have a great Sunday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
I like them faceless too. You are so creative girl. I love this idea of your for the angels. Look at all of those pretty dragonflies in the works. I cannot wait until spring to get mine outdoors. LOL! Have a wonderful week and Happy Thanksgiving!
Very creative. I love your blog. Thanks for swinging by my porch. I can't wait to explore your blog more.
