Thanksgiving - a time for family

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my sister's house this year. All the women cook, and we have a big pot luck style dinner. We always have more than enough food left over, and we all take home leftovers to eat later.

This year our brother, his wife and son came up from Virginia. It was good to have everyone together. Here are a few pics.

You can see who pushed to the head of the line.... LOL

My siblings and I. Yes, I'm the oldest. I believe the word matriarch was used a few times that day... made me feel old and powerful :)

Two of my three daughters, Rachel and Kimberly.

After dinner football...

I didn't realize until I saw this picture, that my sister and my daughter have the same facial expression. hmmmm

Now the table is filling up

I hope everythone is getting into the Christmas spirit. I'm trying to get into the spirit but struggling.

Have a good week!

Looks like a nice big, long, table full of good food and good times....And, wow....Thanksgiving seems so far away already. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster these days....not feeling the spirit so much either yet - think I'm channeling the Grinch these days....Hope your week ahead is a good one....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Merry Christmas to you, too, Myra! I've so enjoyed all my visits to your blog and seeing all your creativity and hard work.

I hope your Christmas Day was lovely and I hope for all the Good Things in life for 2012 for you and your family.

Thanks for reading the 'novel' I ended up writing. I don't know when I'll be able to sit down again like a normal woman. Ouch.
