Unexpected visitor, what's blooming now, found object planter,

We had an unexpected visitor to the corncrib gazebo today. This Cecropia Moth has been hanging out with us.  It is very large and absolutely beautiful.  Fortunately he was up high enough that our mischevious and carniverous felines couldn't get ahold of it.

A few weeks ago I had a very lush bed of hosta and ferns. It was very full and beautiful.  Thanks to the 3 kittens we have, the ferns have been destroyed.  I created this planter to keep the cats our of a pot of petunias.  I used a section of double walled stove pipe we had in the garage, and an old milk strainer.  My hanging planter just fit inside the strainer.  I set a broken brick in the bottom of the strainer to raise the hanging pot up a bit, and removed the hanger.  I painted it metalic blue today.  I love how blue pops in the garden.  What do you think?
